Barb Lindquist - Triathlon
Biography
Barb is currently the No. 1 ranked triathlete in the world at the Olympic distance. Off to a sensational start in 2003, she turned in dominating performances in Australia and in Japan, and won both the Baker's Breakfast Cookies Bellingham ITU International and the New Balance Escape from Alcatraz. In 2002, Barb won the inaugural Life Time Fitness Triathlon in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was named Triathlete of the Year by Inside Triathlon, Triathlete Magazine, USA Triathlon, and the United States Olympic Committee. She now stands as a serious gold medal contender at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Barb was on the US National Swim Team intermittently from 1987 to 1991, medaling in two Pan Am Games and one Pan Pacific Games. She received a swimming scholarship to Stanford University where she was an athletic honor roll student in all four years, graduating with a B.A. degree in Human Biology.
